What we do
Our work focuses on three main areas:
Sustainable Agriculture: We establish small-scale farms in communities and schools to promote sustainable agriculture practices and nutritional food security. Our programs focus on agroecology, permaculture, and organic farming methods to enhance soil health, biodiversity, and ecosystem services.
Environmental Conservation: We prioritize wildlife protection, sustainable food systems, and environmental conservation to enhance community resilience and biodiversity. Our efforts include habitat restoration, wildlife conservation, and sustainable natural resource management.
Climate Action: We’re committed to addressing climate change through holistic approaches that benefit both people and the planet. Our climate action initiatives focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting climate-resilient agriculture, and supporting climate-resilient communities.

Our Team
Micheal Mirobe
Executive Director
As Executive Director of Green Horizons Climate Action Initiative Uganda, Micheal Mirobe leads the organization’s efforts to promote environmental conservation and sustainable food systems. With experience in community development and sustainability, Micheal is passionate about creating positive impacts through community-driven initiatives and driving our mission to enhance community resilience and biodiversity.
Aheebwa Richard
Chairperson
As Chairperson of Green Horizons Climate Action Initiative Uganda, Aheebwa Richard leads the organization’s strategic direction and oversight. With experience in community development and environmental conservation, Aheebwa brings vision and leadership to Green Horizons’ mission. He is passionate about empowering communities and driving positive impact.
Deborah Talemwa
Secretary
As Secretary for Green Horizons Climate Action Initiative Uganda, Deborah Talemwa provides administrative support and manages communications. With skills in office management and coordination, Deborah ensures smooth operations and keeps the team connected. She is the first point of contact for internal and external queries.
Ngobi Rogers
Field Officer
As a field officer with Green Horizons, Ngobi Rogers works directly with communities to implement sustainable agriculture and conservation projects in Uganda. With experience in community mobilization, He supports supports farmers and local groups in adopting climate-smart practices. He is passionate about grassroots impact.
Ijara Calvin
Communications/ Outreach Officer
As Communications and Outreach Officer at Green Horizons, Ijara Calvin shares stories of impact and connects with stakeholders. With expertise in digital media and community engagement, Calvin amplifies Green Horizons’ voice on environmental issues. He is driven by storytelling that inspires action.
Ishimwe Moses
Program Manager
As Program Manager at Green Horizons, Ishimwe moses oversees the design and implementation of programs focused on sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation. With experience in project management and community engagement, moses ensures initiatives align with Green Horizons’ goals. He is passionate about scaling impactful solutions for community resilience.
Amy Williams
Volunteer
Amy volunteers to support building and maintaining the website of Green Horizons Climate Action Initiative Uganda, helping the team achieve greater visibility and communicate their important work building a greener, fairer world.
